Texas Longhorns Men’s Basketball season tips off tomorrow against Navy in the Regional Round of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.

With expectations throttled after last year’s mid-season flame out, the Horns will rely on the veteran leadership of Seniors Dogus Balbay and Gary Johnson and the growth of Sophomores Jordan Hamilton and J’Covan Brown. Also be on the look out for incoming freshmen Cory Joseph and Tristan Thompson, both from north of the border (Ontario, Canada.)

The Women start the season in earnest Friday night at home against Mississippi Valley State. Dealt a tough blow with the loss of post presence Cokie Reed, Coach G and her staff had to completely re-tailor their game plan and will lean heavily on Kat Nash, Ashley Gayle and Ashleigh Fontenette.
